Have been doing the plywood business for more than 12 years ,found that more and more sales people or purchasing started to pay attention on the company’s business confidetial info ,Confidential business information is information which concerns or relates to the plywood trade secrets, processes, operations, style of works, or apparatus, or to the production, sales, shipments, purchases, transfers, identification of customers, inventories, or amount or source of any income, profits, losses, or expenditures of any person, firm, partnership, corporation, or other organization, or other information of commercial value, the disclosure of which is likely to have the effect of either impairing the Commission’s ability to obtain such information as is necessary to perform its statutory functions, or causing substantial harm to the competitive position of theperson, firm, partnership, corporation, or other organization from which the information was obtained, unless the Commission is required by law to disclose such information.
When the buyer buy plywood ,if possible ,should sign one agreement ,tell the suppliers or all the whole supply chain to make then understood that every chain should be business confidential from quality ,end customers ,shipping marks ,prices and target markets ….
When working as the Manager ,should tell the team members all of these info must be confidential .
I found that some of the sales people like to send their customers’s shipping marks or packing or plywood with logo to the new potential customers to get business ,actually this is not good behaviour if the buyers did not accept you to do that .
So ,when doing the purchasing or Sourcing Job ,need tell the suppliers what you should request them to do accordingly .
