In this plywood field, we heard too many stories about claim or complaint on Chinese plywood in some factories. Many customers are cheated and can’t get compensation. They have to change from one to another supplier. Soon, the bad reputation of Chinese plywood suppliers turned up. Apart from real wood veneered plywood and blockboard and other types of wood panels , every individual piece of commercial plywood is carefully inspected “Piece by piece” prior to shipment and any plywood which does not pass our stringent quality control is rejected. Our quality control process commences at the start of production when the veneers are checked to ensure they are the correct quality and moisture content and finishes when the plywood is produced, inspected and ready for packing. For example, the characteristics and quality of door skin plywood are different to those for commercial plywood and our inspectors are fully aware of the differences and will undertake their inspection accordingly.It should be noted that whilst a number of Chinese plywood manufacturers / exporters websites refer to their quality control and inspection processes, from experience we know that the number of inspectors they have are usually exaggerated and they do not usually undertake the inspection of every individual piece of plywood.

Other construction materials with formaldehyde include soft plywood, flake board, and oriented strand board. All of these products off-gas for a period of time. Formaldehyde is released more readily at warm temperatures and high humidity.
Off gasing of formaldehyde can cause sore throat, watery burning eyes, difficulting breathing, nausea, headaches, wheezing and coughing; fatigue; skin rash; siniusitis, severe allergic reactions, asthma attacks, other respiratory problems, vomiting, diarrhea and may even cause cancer.
OSHA has set a limit of 0.75 ppm as a safe limit. If you think or feel that you have a formaldehyde problem independent testing is essential.
