Formaldehyde and VOC emissions at different manufacturing stages of wood-based panels
► We determine compound species and content at panel’s different manufacturing stages. ► Considerable VOC species changes occur during panel’s manufacturing process. ► Formaldehyde in panels comes primarily from the urea-formaldehyde resin. ► VOCs in panels mainly come from the wood chips. ► Drying and hot-pressing are helpful in reducing compound emissions from panels.
