Tongjiang’s trade volume with Russia increased by 10.17%

According to statistics from the Tongjiang Customs in Heilongjiang Province, Tongjiang’s trade with Russia was 48.724 million US dollars in the first three months of this year, an increase of 10.17% year-on-year. The total value of imports and exports to Russia ranks first in the Jiamusi region of Heilongjiang Province.
According to reports, the city’s main imports from Russia include timber, iron ore and concentrates, grain, refined oil, primary plastics, and frozen fish.
According to the “Jiamusi Daily” reported on the 10th, according to incomplete statistics, in 2017, Tongjiang implemented 32 joint ventures and cooperation projects with Russia, dispatched 1,015 laborers, and the total amount of contracts reached 108.9 million US dollars. The two sides mainly cooperate in the fields of Russian agricultural planting, steel structure production, project contracting, construction and decoration, timber processing, and forest harvesting. The cooperation projects are mainly distributed in the Russian Jewish Autonomous Prefecture, Khabarovsk Krai, Siberia, Irkutsk, Omsk, Sakhalin and Kamchatka.
