Blockboard QC Inspection Checklist : Part 2 Key Points for Quality Inspection of Blockboard
1. Formaldehyde. According to the national standard, the index of climate box method for formaldehyde emission limit of chinese blockboard is E1 < 0.124mg/m3. The disqualification of formaldehyde emission index of blockboard sold on the market mainly involves two aspects: one is that formaldehyde emission exceeds the standard, which poses a significant threat to human health; the other is that although formaldehyde emission of some products is within E2 level, which does not reach E1 level, it is marked as E1 level. It is also unqualified.
2. Transverse static bending strength. The transverse static bending strength and gluing strength reflect the ability of the china blockboard products to bear the force and resist the force and deformation. There are three main reasons leading to the unqualified transverse static bending strength. One is that the raw material itself is defective or decayed, and the quality of the core is not good; the other is that the splicing technology has not reached the standard in the production process; and the third is that the gluing work has not been done well.
3. Bonding strength. There are three main technological parameters for bonding performance, namely time, temperature and pressure. However, the amount of formaldehyde released is also affected by the use of more adhesives, less adhesives and how to use them.
4. Water content. Water content is an index reflecting water content of blockboard. If water content is too high or uneven, warpage or uneven phenomena will occur during the use of products, which will affect the performance of products.
