China becomes the largest timber exporter of Vietnam
According to the data of Vietnam’s National Bureau of statistics, the total import and export value of wood and wood products in October 2019 increased compared with the same period last year. In October 2019, the total export value of wood and wood products reached US $995 million, and the cumulative export of wood and wood products in the first 10 months of 2019 is estimated to be US $8.52 billion, an increase of 17.8% over the previous year
In the export market, the United States is Vietnam’s largest timber import market. The United States, Japan, China and South Korea maintain the status of Vietnam’s four largest import markets for wood and wood products, accounting for 80.6% of the total export value of the project. Vietnam’s timber and wood products exports to the United States in 2019 increased significantly compared with 2018, with a total export volume of US $3.65 billion, an increase of 33.6%. In terms of import, in October 2019, Vietnam’s import volume was US $212 million, and the cumulative import volume in the first 10 months was US $2.09 billion, an increase of 11.5% over the same period in 2018
There is a surprising data here. In recent years, I have chatted privately with the industry personages and said that China’s timber imports, especially from Vietnam, Myanmar and other countries, are more. But that may be totally wrong. According to the Statistics Bureau of Vietnam, in the first nine months of 2019, China was the main market supplying wood and products in Vietnam, accounting for 22.91% of the total, reaching US $42952 million, an increase of 41.42% year-on-year. Only in September 2019, the sales volume of imports from China reached US $64.05 million, an increase of 11.61% compared with August 2019, and an increase of 67.51% compared with September 2018.如无特殊说明，文章均为本站原创，转载请注明出处。If there are no special instructions, the articles are original, if you want to use or reproduce, please indicate the original source www.plywoodinspection.com,If you find that our articles infringe on your copyrights and interests, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org in time and we will delete it at the first time.
