Effect of gluing process on bonding strength of Eucalyptus/Poplar Class I plywood

Eucalyptus and poplar are one of the most widely planted plantations. It is of great significance to use them to make structural plywood. By measuring the bonding strength of Eucalyptus composite plywood under different hot pressing temperature, time, pressure and amount of glue, it was found that four factors had significant effects on the bonding strength of the plywood. In this test range, the optimum bonding parameters are: hot pressing temperature 145 C, time 1.5 min/mm, pressure 0.8 MPa, and glue amount 320 g/m2.
