Formaldehyde-free soybean glue fiberboard will become the mainstream of wood-based panel development
At present, the production of wood-based panels in China is still mainly using “trialdehyde” adhesives. With the green development requirements of the industry and the escalating consumer demand, ultra-low free formaldehyde release wood-based panels or wood-based panels without adding formaldehyde will become the mainstream of industry development. The new aldehyde-free soybean adhesives for wood-based panels will become a new trend in the development of wood-based panels industry at home and abroad.
The use of formaldehyde-free soybean glue to produce fiberboard has the defects of strength attenuation and easy to mildew, which is a worldwide recognized scientific and technological problem. In order to solve this problem, Zhang Zhongtao team of the Forest Product Planning and Design Institute of the State Forestry Administration, together with Zhu Jin team of Ningbo Zhongke Chaolu New Materials Co., Ltd. and Fang Youyuan team of Shanghai Qianshen Industry Group Co., Ltd., formed an expert team to give full play to their respective advantages and realize multi-disciplinary collaborative innovation in wood science, polymer science, wood-based panel technology and other disciplines, which was solved by two-component sizing method. Through compatibility modification and plasticization modification, the compatibility between soybean protein molecule and wood fiber and melt plasticization effect were increased, and the problem that soybean protein molecule could not give full play to the bonding effect was solved. And through the new anti-mildew technology and reinforcement technology, the problem of soybean glue fiberboard easy to mildew and strength attenuation was solved. To realize large-scale production of fiberboard made of aldehyde-free soybean glue. And the product meets the requirements of the national standard GB/T 11718-2009 on MDF for indoor furniture.
In the future, formaldehyde-free soybean glue fiberboard products will be put into the market in batches, and formaldehyde-free soybean glue fiberboard will become the mainstream of wood-based panel development.
