Glued laminated timber (glulam)

Glued laminated timber (glulam) is one of the most brilliant innovations in the timber industry. It is the environmental friendly alternative for building with steel, even if steel has an advantage with its carrying capacity. Glulam offers better properties for fire safety as well as better weather and earthquake resistance.

Furthermore, glulam has logistic and practical advantages: it can be delivered prefabricated to the place of installation or can be trimmed to fit at the construction site. Apart from this is glulam a wood product, therefore sustainably produced and 100% ecological.

Glulam is produced in Russia and the high quality is guaranteed by the first-class raw material from Siberia. Due to the cool climatic conditions, the spruce from Siberia grows slowly and tightly.

The glue used in the production is Akzo Nobel Cascomin MUF-system (1257 – for Russia, 1265 – for Japan) together with 1717/2575 and EPI-system 1937/1943. Each material used in the production complies with European standards – on request we can send you the relevant certificates.

Since recently we are also able to provide glulam in Siberian larch on demand. Both spruce and Siberian larch are FSC® certified.
