Indonesia’s Meranti (Lauan) and its products will enter the United States duty-free from November 2019
ITT website, November 2019: the U.S. trade office has revised the tariff terms to allow Indonesia (hereinafter referred to as Indonesia) to enter the United States duty-free in accordance with the GSP (general preferential system, referred to as GSP, which refers to a tariff preferential system that is more preferential than the normal tariff for developed countries to export products to developing countries).
According to the executive director of the International Wood Products Association (IWPA), the Indonesian Meranti (Lauan) and its products are one of the most important imported raw materials for manufacturers in the U.S. touring car industry, “such products enter the U.S. duty-free, which is a win-win situation for touring car manufacturers and their product suppliers (mostly members of IWPA).”
It is reported that since the removal of Meranti (Lauan) and its products in the GSP tax exemption clause in 2016, U.S. importers and users have paid about $1 million in customs duties every month. The revised terms will take effect on November 1, 2019.如无特殊说明，文章均为本站原创，转载请注明出处。If there are no special instructions, the articles are original, if you want to use or reproduce, please indicate the original source www.plywoodinspection.com,If you find that our articles infringe on your copyrights and interests, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org in time and we will delete it at the first time.
