Larch  accounts for 2/3 of Russia’s total exports

At present, the main export tree species in Russia are Larix gmelinii (2/3 of the total), followed by Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica and Picea spruce. Global demand for sawn timber is increasing every year, so most Russian timber is exported in the form of boards and cubes.
