Local African timber suppliers fear that rising inventories will destroy prices

Local African timber suppliers are reducing timber production, fearing that increased inventories could undermine prices. There are no reports of significant price changes in African timber (local market), but there is growing concern that if trade frictions between the United States and China are not resolved soon, it will inevitably lead to further weakening of market demand in China.

Interestingly, some companies in Southeast Asia, which used to be major exporters of timber, may now be considering importing timber raw materials from West and Central Africa.
