Panel furniture processing technology and equipment

Introduction: the main technological process of panel furniture includes cutting, veneering, edge sealing, slot processing, packaging and assembly. This chapter mainly introduces the cutting equipment.

Cutting is the process of cutting the plates used to make furniture. Because the structure of panel furniture is relatively simple and the accuracy of the connecting parts is high, the panel can be directly cut to the size of the required parts with a high-precision cutting saw during the cutting process. The equipment used for cutting is mainly a cutting saw. The common cutting equipment in the traditional panel furniture production is the precision panel saw, which is often called “push table saw” because its side has a pushable table.

There are two types of advanced cutting equipment:

① Electronic cutting saw, also known as “computer cutting saw”, is an advanced digital processing equipment, which can be used for cutting a variety of plates.

② The CNC machining center is a cutting equipment. The CNC machining center can cut plates with curved edges. Its basic principle is to use a milling cutter to directly mill a groove with a depth exceeding the plate thickness along the edge of the plate, so as to achieve the purpose of cutting.
