Quality Grading Inspection

1. Looking from the appearance, the size and shape of sawdust particles in the central part of the cross-section are generally suitable for 5-10MM length, too long structure is loose, too short deformation resistance is poor, so-called static bending strength is not up to the standard;

2. The moisture-proof property of wood-based panels depends on their density and moisture-proof agent. Soaking in water is no better than soaking in water. Moisture-proof means moisture-proof, not water-proof. Therefore, it should be distinguished in future use. The moisture content of plates in northern areas, including North China, Northwest China and Northeast China, should generally be controlled at 8-10%. In southern areas, including coastal areas, it should be controlled between 9-14%. Otherwise, the plates should be separated from each other. It is easy to absorb moisture and deform.

Common quality problems and treatment methods in particleboard production

This paper analyses the common quality problems in particleboard production, such as warping deformation, large particles on the board surface, local “flax surface” on the board surface, and “soft” on the particleboard, and puts forward the corresponding solutions.

Taking the bubbling problem in particleboard production as the research object, this paper defines the basic concept of bubbling and expounds the distribution law of bubbling in particleboard, and then analyses the causes and solutions of bubbling in particleboard.

When evaluating the quality of particleboard, the physical properties such as density, moisture content, water absorption and thickness expansion are often considered. The mechanical properties include static bending strength, vertical tensile strength (internal bonding strength), elastic modulus of nail holding force and rigid modulus. The technological properties include machinability, cementability and paint finishing. Particleboard for special use should also consider electrical, acoustic, thermal and anti-corrosion, fire protection, flame retardant properties according to different uses.

The quality status of particleboard at present was briefly reviewed. The causes of warping deformation of particleboard were analyzed in detail, and the corresponding solutions were put forward. Water absorption thickness expansion is an important index of physical and mechanical properties of particleboard. It is the main cause of volume instability of particleboard. For a long time, the application of Particleboard in various fields has been limited. It can not be said that it has nothing to do with the volume instability of the board. Therefore, in recent decades, many countries have spent a lot of manpower and material resources competing to study, trying to find effective measures to solve the volume instability. In this paper, the moisture absorption deformation, volume instability and various effective protective measures of particleboard are discussed.
