Sabah, Malaysia lifts timber export ban

Datuk Frederick Kugan, chief forest protection officer of Sabah, Malaysia, issued a notice on December 21, 2021, allowing eligible parties to export logs from Sabah. The “limited log export plan” will take effect from January 3, 2022, and will lift the current log export ban of the state, That is, the log export ban implemented by the Sabah government during walison’s administration in May 2018 will be cancelled.
