Screw Holding Force and Screw Holding Force of Particleboard and Fiberboard

With the widening of the application fields of particleboard and fiberboard, particleboard and fiberboard are more and more widely used in wood products manufacturing, housing, car and ship decoration industry, and has formed a trend of gradually replacing solid wood. 1 grip nail force

The ability of particleboard and fiberboard to hold nails is called nail holding force. The greater the density of the board, the greater the nail holding force. The grip force is also related to the shape of raw materials and the direction of nails. The grip force of Particleboard Made of special particleboard is larger than that made of waste particleboard, and the grip force of MDF is obviously better than that of particleboard. The nail holding force perpendicular to the plate surface is greater than that parallel to the plate surface. Particleboard and fiberboard hold nails less than wood. There are absolute nail holding force, relative nail holding force and specific nail holding force. Absolute grip force refers to the maximum resistance (unit: N); relative grip force refers to the ratio of maximum pull-out resistance to nail penetration depth (unit: N/mm); and specific grip force refers to the ratio of maximum pull-out resistance to the expanded surface area (unit: MPa).

2 Holding Screw Force

Holding screw force refers to the holding capacity of wood screw between particleboard and fiberboard. The factors affecting the screw grip force are basically the same as the screw grip force. There are three ways to express the screw holding force as well as the screw holding force: absolute screw holding force, relative screw holding force and specific screw holding force.

Particleboard and MDF only measure the absolute screw holding force between the board surface and the side of the board.
