Standards and Classification of Plywood

1. Class I (NQF) – Climate resistant and boiling water resistant plywood.

This kind of plywood has the properties of durability, boiling resistance, steam treatment and antimicrobial resistance, and can be used outdoors. This kind of plywood is made of phenolic resin or other similar adhesive.

2. Class II (NS) – Water-resistant plywood.

This kind of plywood can be impregnated in cold water. It can withstand short time hot water impregnation and has antimicrobial properties, but not boiling resistance. This kind of plywood is made of uroformaldehyde resin or other similar binders.

3. Class III (NC) – moisture resistant plywood.

This kind of plywood can withstand short-term cold water impregnation and is suitable for indoor normal use.

This kind of plywood is made of uroformaldehyde resin adhesive with low resin content, blood glue or other similar properties.

4. IV (BNC) – Non-moisture resistant plywood.

This kind of plywood has certain bonding strength when it is used in normal indoor conditions. This kind of plywood is made of soybean gum or other similar adhesive.
