Study on the influence of hot pressing technology on physical properties of structural bamboo plywood

Abstract: China is rich in bamboo resources, ranking first in the world, but its utilization rate is very low. In this paper, Phyllostachys pubescens is used as raw material to prepare bamboo plywood by “hot up and hot down” process, which is conducive to improving the efficient utilization of bamboo, improving production efficiency, reducing product cost, alleviating the shortage of wood resources, improving ecological environment and achieving sustainable development. At present, based on the previous research experience, this paper improves the “hot up and hot down” process, studies the influence of six factors on the physical and mechanical properties of bamboo strip plywood, such as the impregnation amount, hot pressing temperature, hot pressing time, hot pressing curve proportion, target density and moisture content, optimizes the optimal process parameters, and explains them from the micro point of view. The results are as follows: (1) the impregnation of bamboo strips increased from 5% to 9%, which had a significant effect on the internal bond strength (IB).
