The Czech Republic exported more than 300,000 tons of timber to China in the first half of the year

Czech Republic reported that the number of Czech log exports to China has increased dramatically since this year. According to Czech Statistical Bureau, China has become the second largest Czech wood export destination after Germany this year.

The report points out that Czech timber exporters are satisfied with China’s trade, and the Jet Forestry Administration also says that China has a large market demand and broad prospects for cooperation. Earlier this year, the Czech Ministry of Agriculture said it wanted to expand timber exports, including to China, in response to the excess logging caused by forest pests.
