The difference between ordinary plywood and film faced plywood

Film-covered plywood is a kind of building plywood. The template is made of high-quality pine, eucalyptus and other board materials. The surface is treated with phenolic resin impregnated paper with strong waterproof property. It is named “film-covered plywood” because of the smooth surface of the concrete poured with the template.

Building plywood is a temporary structure, which is made according to the design requirements, so that concrete structures and components can be shaped according to the prescribed position and geometric size, maintain their correct position, and bear the weight of building plywood and the load acting on them. The purpose of formwork engineering is to ensure the quality and construction safety of concrete engineering, speed up construction progress and reduce project cost.

Building plywood

Film-covered plywood is a kind of building plywood. The film faced  plywood is made of high-quality pine, eucalyptus and other board materials. The surface is treated with phenolic resin impregnated paper with strong waterproof property. It is named “film-covered plywood” because of the smooth surface of the concrete poured with the template. It is mainly suitable for the formwork of high-rise buildings, shear walls, vertical wallboard and dams, tunnels, overpasses, arch bridges and other bridges, beams and columns.

When placing concrete members with plywood in common buildings, it can only meet the stiffness stipulated in the code (ensuring that the section size of the members and the deformation of the concrete after pouring) and the smoothness. Then the surface needs plastering and decoration. It is mostly used in civil buildings and industrial buildings with certain requirements.

When pouring concrete members with film faced  plywood, it not only meets the rigidity stipulated in the code (guaranteeing the section size of the members and the deformation after pouring concrete) and smoothness, but also needs to satisfy its smoothness. Generally, the surface does not need to be plastered and decorated. It is mostly used in industrial buildings and general industrial buildings.

According to the above, the main difference between them lies in the process of film faced  plywood making and whether the surface after concrete casting needs plastering, decoration and decoration, as well as the requirements of building use, and there is no big difference in the use of materials.
