The new version of the standard “Indoor Wooden Door” will come into force on June 1, 2021

According to the recent announcement of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Interior Wooden Door (LY/T 1923-2020) will replace the Interior Wooden Door (LY/T 1923-2010) and has been implemented since June 1, 2021.

It is reported that at present, there is no national standard for indoor wooden doors. The standard “Indoor Wooden Doors” issued by the competent industry department, the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, has made detailed provisions on indoor wooden doors from many aspects, such as the industry standard has clearly defined the three concepts of “solid wood doors“, “solid wood composite doors” and “wood composite doors”. There are also clear requirements for the quality of wooden doors, such as processing accuracy, appearance quality, physical and chemical properties and environmental protection performance (formaldehyde emission). It is a widely used and practical building code document in the industry. The industrial standard of LY/T1923-2010 Interior Wood Doors has been used for nearly 10 years since its implementation in 2010.

The reporter learned that the drafting units of Interior Wood Doors (LY/T 1923-2020) include Chongqing Meixin Mason Door Industry Co., Ltd., Guangdong Dinggu Jichuang Home Furnishing Co., Ltd., Qunsheng Door and Window Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Jinkaide Smart Home Furnishing Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Shouchuang Industry and Trade Co., Ltd.

Wang Wangui, director of the Technical Center of Maxim Group, who participated in the drafting of the standard, said that the new standard would put forward stricter quality requirements for manufacturers on the basis of the original standard. Being able to participate in the formulation of industry standards is also conducive to the company’s immediate adjustment of product quality and leading the development of the industry. “In recent years, Meixin has completed the transformation and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing, and the transformation and upgrading of production lines, which has improved the production efficiency as well as the product quality. In the future, Meixin will continue to explore and innovate, design and develop products according to new standards, and use intelligent equipment to increase the technical content of product processing.” Wang Wangui said.

It is reported that in recent years, Maxim Group has participated in the formulation of several national and industrial standards. For example, we participated in the formulation of national and industrial standards such as General Technical Conditions for Security Doors, Steel Multi functional Door Frame Profiles, Fire Doors, and Wood Doors and Windows. In addition to the three categories of door and window products, Maxim also set foot in diversified fields, shared achievements in equipment research and development and manufacturing technology, and formulated standards. Participated in the preparation of national and industrial standards such as General Technical Conditions for Building Intercom Electronic Security Door and Inorganic Fire Door Core Plate.
