Two Basic Points in the Selection and Purchase of Medium Density Board

MDF is mainly used for strengthening wood flooring, door panels, partitions, furniture, etc., MDF is mainly used for surface treatment of mixing process in household decoration; MDF is generally used for furniture, because the density of MDF is too high, it is easy to crack, so there is no way to make furniture. Generally, high and medium density boards are used for interior and exterior decoration, office and civil furniture, audio, interior decoration of vehicles, and can also be used as anti-static floor, wall panels, anti-theft doors, wall panels, partitions and other production materials in calculator rooms. It is also a good material for packaging. In the future, it will be used as a base material to make laminated wood flooring and so on. The selection and purchase of MDF mainly focuses on two points: environmental protection and quality.

Environmental protection:

According to the national standard, MDF can be divided into E0, E1 and E2 according to its free formaldehyde content. E2 formaldehyde emission is less than 5 mg/L; E1 formaldehyde emission is less than 1.5 mg/L, which can be directly used for indoor decoration; E0 formaldehyde emission is less than 0.5 mg/L. Consumers should try their best to buy products with low formaldehyde emission when choosing medium density boards, which are safer.

Medium density board has relatively high formaldehyde content. If there are materials of medium density board at home, it is recommended to use photocatalyst or liquid Maya blue to treat.

Quality:

Surface cleanliness: Medium density plate with good surface cleanliness should have no obvious particles. Particles are caused by impurities brought into the process of pressing, which not only affects the beauty, but also makes the paint film easy to peel off.

Surface smoothness: When touching the surface with hand, it should have a smooth feeling. If the feeling is more astringent, it means that the processing is not in place.

Surface smoothness: Medium density board surface should be bright and flat, if the surface is not smooth from the side, it indicates that there are problems in material or coating technology.

Overall elasticity: Harder plates must be inferior products.
