Veneer quality control Part 10:Optimizing the Dyeing Process of Poplar Veneer by Response Surface Methodology
Acidic dyes were used to dye fast-growing poplar veneers. The effects of dye solution concentration, dyeing time and dyeing temperature on the color difference of veneers were investigated. The quadratic regression model was established by response surface methodology (RSM) and the dyeing process was optimized. The results showed that ideal dyeing effect could be obtained when the mass fraction of dye solution was 0.52%, the dyeing time was 4.2 h and the dyeing temperature was 72 C. The chromatic aberration value is 62.54 NBS.
