When hot-pressing multilayer plywood, first of all, elastic deformation, with the rise of slab temperature, wood gradually plasticized, plastic deformation and become more compact, so the actual thickness of multilayer plywood is always smaller than the actual thickness of slab before hot-pressing. According to different hot-pressing processes, the change of thickness above is also different, the compression rate of cold-pressing is higher than that of hot-pressing. The rate is lower. In the same hot press interval, the hot-pressed slab has high temperature and large plastic deformation, so its compression ratio is larger than that of the intermediate slab, and the difference is about 3-4%.

Generally speaking, the main reason is that the use of materials belongs to elastic-plastic materials, coupled with the dual effects of humidity and pressure, the slab is prone to plastic deformation and elastic deformation.
