Birch wood in Russia may increase prices by 5-10% in 2023
According to Ilya Ovchinnikov, Development Director of Kronoshpan Group, due to seasonal transportation restrictions, approximately 4-5% of raw materials and products in the wood industry cannot be put on the market each year. During downtime, prices of wood and wood products may increase by 5-10%.
More importantly, the supply chain will be cut off, leading to a shortage of raw materials for the enterprise. Adding to the previously existing shortage of transportation vehicles, this situation will be exacerbated.
