China Continuously Expands Russian Wood Imports to Increase Its Export Share to 63.6% in Russia

According to Roslesinforg, the forest inventory management agency of the Russian Federation, in the first quarter of 2023, China imported 2.878 million cubic meters of timber from Russia, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%. In the first quarter of 2023, Russian companies’ timber exports to China reached 4.154 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%. China’s share in Russian timber exports has increased from 48.6% to 63.6%.
