2. Inspection Standards and Equipment
2.1 Inspection Standards
Refer to industry standards for cabinet-grade PVC foam boards, combined with the technical requirements agreed between the customer and the supplier.
2.2 Inspection Equipment
Density meter, universal testing machine, thickness gauge, visual inspection tool, environmental testing chamber, etc.
3. Inspection Results
3.1 Appearance Quality Inspection
The overall appearance of the products in this batch was inspected one by one, and the qualified products met the following requirements: uniform warm white color without color difference; clear and intact customer logo printing, no blurring, offset or fading; flat board surface, no obvious unevenness; the protective film between every two boards is intact, closely attached, no bubbles, wrinkles or damage, and can effectively protect the board surface.
During the inspection, the following appearance defects were found and all unqualified products were rejected and removed:
- Surface Scratches: 3 boards had obvious scratches on the surface (scratch length > 5mm), which affected the appearance and surface integrity. These boards were rejected and removed.
- Logo Printing Defects: 2 boards had blurred logos and 1 board had logo offset (offset distance > 2mm). The printing quality did not meet the requirements, so they were rejected and removed.
- Protective Film Abnormalities: 4 boards had damaged or wrinkled protective films, which could not play a protective role. The corresponding boards were rejected and removed, and the protective film storage and placement process was rechecked.
- Edge Burrs: 5 boards had burrs on the edges (burr height > 1mm), which might affect subsequent processing and installation. These boards were rejected and removed.
3.2 Internal Quality Laboratory Testing
Random sampling inspection was carried out on the products in this batch, and the internal performance indicators were tested in the laboratory. The qualified products met the following requirements: density ≥ 0.55 g/cm³; stable internal structure, no voids or delamination; good mechanical properties, meeting the load-bearing and wear-resistant requirements of cabinet-grade products.
During the laboratory testing, the following internal defects were found and the unqualified products were rejected and removed:
- Density Non-compliance: 2 sampled boards had a density of 0.52 g/cm³ and 0.53 g/cm³, which were lower than the required 0.55 g/cm³. These boards were rejected and removed, and the raw material ratio and production process were traced.
- Internal Voids: 1 sampled board was found to have internal voids (void diameter > 3mm) through section detection, which affected the structural stability. The board was rejected and removed, and the foaming process was inspected.
- Mechanical Property Deficiency: 1 sampled board failed the bending strength test (bending strength < 15 MPa), which could not meet the use requirements of cabinet-grade products. It was rejected and removed, and the production process parameters were re-evaluated.
3.3 Outer Packaging Quality Inspection
The outer packaging of the batch of products was inspected to ensure that it could effectively protect the products during transportation and storage. Qualified packaging meets the following requirements: intact packaging materials, no damage or deformation; reasonable fixing inside the packaging, no collision between boards; clear packaging labels, including product specifications, batch number, etc.
During the inspection, the following outer packaging defects were found and handled accordingly:
- Packaging Material Damage: 2 packages had damaged cartons, and the internal boards were at risk of being affected. The damaged packaging was replaced, and the boards inside were re-inspected (no quality problems were found after re-inspection).
- Insufficient Fixing: 3 packages had insufficient internal fixing, leading to slight displacement of the boards. The internal fixing materials were supplemented and reinforced to ensure that the boards were stable in the packaging.
- Label Missing: 1 package had missing packaging labels, which could not confirm the product information. The label was made up in time, and the consistency of the label information with the product was verified.
4. Defect Handling Summary
All unqualified products with appearance defects, internal quality defects and outer packaging defects found in this inspection have been completely rejected and removed. The total number of unqualified products is 19 pieces, accounting for [Insert Percentage] of the total batch. The reasons for the defects have been traced, and corresponding rectification measures have been put forward to the production and packaging departments to avoid similar problems in subsequent batches.
5. Inspection Conclusion
After strict inspection of the cabinet-grade PVC foam boards of this batch (including appearance, internal quality and outer packaging), the qualified products after removing the unqualified ones meet the agreed technical requirements and quality standards. They can be delivered to the customer after passing the final confirmation.
