Most customers always ask the same question: How to check vinyl floor quality? This is a common topic, not only SPC FLOOR but also LVT Click WPC flooring, etc.

3 working stage, 14 checking items can solve this problem.

▶ Part – 01 & First Point

Checking Items: Basic Operation Check.

Requirement/ Parameter:

·Check every sample at actual usage status.

·Check per end user’s reasonable usage/expectation, Check per declaration/description on the unit package/instruction sheet/product specification,etc.

·Check every functional point/operation point/moveable position at least 3 times.

·Make sure each function performance (e.g: government, sound, light, output, display, etc,.) is realized successfully.

·Assembled selected sample planks on a flat horizontal surface/plate (workable) group by group (quantity of each group depending on the worktable area ), check each plank fits well, Check (visual and hand fell ) the height difference, Visual check the opening between two assembled plank. Visual check the pattern/decorative film/layer alignment for all assembled planks/tiles.

·For WPC deck, place each decking tiles on a horizontal plane, check if wobbly based was detected.

Judgment: Critical/Major/Minor/Refer to/defect list.

▶ Part – 02 & Second Point

Checking Items: Visual Check (Sensory Check).

Requirement/ Parameter:

1. Check every sample by visual/smell/manual operation/bodily operation.

2. Check every sample at the actual status.

3. Check every sample for all aspects per below guideline, but do not be limited by it. 

· Materials: correctness/ hand feel/color and/gloss conformity to reference samples.

· Forming/Shaping: Shape/dimension/trimming/overall quality.

· Parts/Components: Completeness/correctness, fitting/matching.

· Structure/Connecting: Good Connect/Symmetry/ Smooth operation when connecting/disconnect, No splitting, or gap between each layer.

· Painting/Printing/Coating: Color/Gloss/Adhesive/strength /Legible/Printing quality.

· Cleanness and Aesthetic Quality: no appearance defect due to improper/careless handing.

· Selling Unit Package: Good protection /Packing function, no mistake/missing for products. 

· Labeling/Marking: correct info and good quality.

4. Besides, the below element shall be focused on special.

· Decorative grain/pattern should regular and straight, Unclear, wrong, slant grain, or pattern is unaccepted. No spot, dot, dirt, or other similar defect was allowed on the surface decorative layer.

· No substrate exposed due to insufficient covering or damage of the surface decorative layer. 

· No Cracks/fissure, the porosity of the surface layer, dent blister, bulge/Inclusions were detected on the top layer. If the foam material is used, no unregular or extra big air hole is allowed on the material.

· No crack, broken, chipped was found on the tongue or groove. No spit or delamination was allowed. Padding affixed on the back firmly.No loose gluing missing gluing, curls corner or edge, over glue is accepted.

· Place each plank face on flat horizontal surface/plate and contact with straight long bar for the edge to check warp including bow, cup.

Judgment: Critical/Major/Minor/Refer to the defect list.

▶ Part – 03 & Third Point

Checking Items: Color Check.

Requirement/ Parameter:

Ensure enough light environment, then perform this color check after assembled planks on a workable group by group. Compare the inspection sample with the stand color stand sample, no unallowed color deviation detected. Check the color deviation between each plank in 3 random positions, no unallowed color deviation detected, no dim gloss detected.

Judgment: Critical/Major/Minor/Defect list.

2 Parts and 4 points:

▶ Part – 01 & first point: 

Checking Items: label/marketing check ( prepare all samples).

Requirement/Parameter: Label/marking on the inspected sample conformed to the client’s requirement. The involved types of label/marking may be included below but not limited.

·Country of Origin

·Importer/Retailer name, address

·Warning/Caution/Age Grading Statement/Symbol

·Rating Parameters/Symbol.

·Product Certification Symbol

·Production date and Expiration date.

·Production Batch Code or Date code.

Judgment: Critical/major/minor/refer to/defect list

▶ Part – 02 and second point: 

Checking Items: Assembly and opening and height difference check (Group of samples per item).

Requirement/Parameter: Each group of samples can be assembled smoothly and without any difficulty to dis-assembly also.

·After assembled, check the opening and height different, and the actual finding of opening and height difference shall. Match the requirement/ tolerance and walk on it to detect if any noise/click occurred. 

·IF no specified tolerance, follow the suitable requirement in Table 1, Table 2, and Table 3 of attachment A.

·Refer to attachment B to find the details check method.

Judgment: Fail/The sample fails to assembly and di-assembly the Poor fitting of the T&G (Tongue&groove) connecting. The actual date is out of tolerance.

▶ Part – 02 and third point:

Checking Items: Gloss check (5 samples per item)

Requirement/Parameter: The actual finding of gloss should be within the client’s tolerance. If no requirement is proved, record the actual finding on the report.

Judgment: Fail.If the actual finding is out of tolerance.

▶ Part – 02 and fourth point:

Checking Items: Unit box adhesion/ sealing strength check (2 boxes per item).

Requirement/Parameter:

Hold the package with each opening and end panel individually downward and holding 30 seconds (can operating by the factory, inspector just witness ), to check whether the floors drop out from the package or flaps punched, broken, the tape is broken or unglued, etc. 

Note: When sampling, please check if any flaps of kinds of sale unit unglued/un-tapped or missing taped partially, curled or opened; record the finding on the inspection report if any abnormal finding and fail the shipment(whatever selling unit package is glued, or taped or wrapped etc.)

Judgment: Fail. If the floor drops out from the package or flaps punched, broken, the tape is broken or unglued, etc.
