The cabinet body is closely fitted with the edge sealing strip with good sealing performance, which can effectively reduce the release of formaldehyde. But the edge banding technology is mixed, how should we identify it? The quality of the edge sealing can be felt by touching it. The edge seals of high-quality cabinets are delicate, smooth, and feel good. The inferior edge seals are on the contrary. Some edge seals are fragile and will break when they are broken. The edge seals with good toughness are not easy to break, and can also reduce the release of formaldehyde.

PVC edge banding is a plastic edge banding strip of wood grain, transparent, plain color and two-color series made of polypropylene or polyvinyl chloride by mechanical pressing. It has the characteristics of heat resistance, oil resistance, high strength, hardness and bendability; Its surface performance is good, wear-resistant and can be trimmed; The melamine edge banding is printed with high-quality colored base paper with various artistic patterns (or pure plain colors) such as wood grain, flower, leather grain, marble grain, etc., and then the paper edge banding strip after curing is impregnated with modified melamine grease. ABS edge banding, which was introduced in detail before, is one of the most advanced materials in the world. The edge banding strip made of ABS is not doped with calcium carbonate. After trimming, it looks bright and smooth, and will never appear white.

  3. Check whether the back of the edge banding strip is flat. Use a flat blade to clamp the edge banding strip horizontally to see whether it is straight. If it is not straight, thick glue lines will appear on both sides after the edge banding;
  4. Check whether the surface of the edge banding strip is smooth and flat, and whether there are impurities. If there are impurities or fine hair pinholes, it may be made of recycled impurities PVC;
  5. Whether the side surface of the plate is uniform after trimming. If there is serration, it may be due to the following reasons: the trimming knife is too blunt; The edge band is too hard; The edge sealing strip contains too much calcium carbonate;
  6. Use nails or other tools to scratch on the edge banding strip. In case of damage, the surface abrasion resistance and hardness of the edge banding strip do not meet the standards, proving that the quality of the edge banding strip is unqualified;
  7. Check whether the sawing surface of the board is flat. If the upper and lower sawing blades are different in specifications when sawing the board, there are small steps on the sawing surface when sawing the board, affecting the edge sealing;
  8. Check whether the hot-melt adhesive is too thick;
  9. Check whether the thickness and pressure adjusted by the edge banding machine are coordinated;
  10. Use a small section of edge banding strip to seal the edge, and then tear it with force to check whether the adhesion strength between the edge banding strip and the thermosol is reasonable and uniform. If the strength is not enough, check whether the temperature of the thermosol of the edge banding machine reaches the use standard.
