1. Core Grading Standards (ANSI/BHMA A156.9 & KCMA A161.1)
US cabinet hardware is graded by ANSI/BHMA (Grade 1/2/3) for durability and KCMA for cabinet-level performance.

1.2 KCMA A161.1 Critical Tests

2. Quality Control Inspection Checklist (Full Audit)
Covers incoming, in-process, final inspection for hinges, slides, knobs, and fasteners.
2.1 Material & Construction
- Material Spec: Cold-rolled steel (1.0–1.2mm) or stainless steel (304/316); no thin/soft metal.
- Weight: Hinges ≥80g; slides ≥200g (per pair); solid heft (no lightweight “hollow” feel).
- Welds: Smooth, uniform, no gaps/cracks; no sharp edges/burrs.
2.2 Dimensional Tolerances
- Hinge Bore: ±0.05mm error; cup depth 11–12mm (standard).
- Door Gap: ≤1/32” (0.8mm) consistent; no binding when opening/closing.
- Slide Alignment: Parallel within ±0.5mm; full extension without tilt.
2.3 Mechanical Performance (Functional Test)
- Hinges:
- 3D adjustability (vertical/depth/side-to-side); smooth 90° opening.
- Soft-close: <2s closing; no slamming; consistent damping.
- Load test: 20 lbs at 10” for 10 mins; no permanent bend.
- Drawer Slides:
- Full extension (100%) or over-travel (110%); glides smoothly (no noise/jump).
- Rated load: 75 lbs (Grade 2) / 50 lbs (Grade 3); 100 cycles no failure.
- Undermount: Concealed, soft-close, 150 lbs max load (Grade 1).
- Knobs/Pulls:

2.4 Finish & Corrosion Resistance

- Chemical Test: Wipe with 10% bleach/ammonia; no discoloration/stains.
2.5 Safety & Compliance
