- Clearance Gap: Top & side gap 2–3mm, bottom gap 6–8mm (interior door); Exterior door bottom gap weather-sealed compliant
2. Wood Material & Moisture Content Inspection
Comply with US local climate adaptation standards and AWI woodwork quality requirements, effectively prevent warping, cracking and mildew
- Wood Species Compliance: Face veneer, core wood and edge banding species strictly match contract and shop drawing requirements; No substitute materials without authorization
- Moisture Content (MC): Pre-glue and finished product MC controlled at 6%–8% (US standard); Uniform moisture of whole door, no local damp or overdrying
- Core Material Quality: Solid wood core / particle board / MDF core comply with specified grade; Full core filling, no hollow, collapse or loose internal structure
- Veneer Quality: Veneer thickness meets specification; Free of dead knots, live knots, cracks, sapwood streaks, mineral spots and discoloration defects
- Edge Banding Quality: Edge banding uses same wood species as face veneer; Tightly bonded, no warping, degumming, gap or rough edge
3. Structural & Joinery Quality Inspection
Ensure overall structural stability, meet US long-term usage durability standards, no loose or deformation after long-term opening and closing
- Joint Firmness: Mortise and tenon joints, splicing joints tightly fitted; Reinforced with environmental adhesive and mechanical fixing; No loose, gap or dislocation
- Internal Reinforcement: Hinge installation position with solid wood reinforcement block; Lock hole position reinforced, no hollow or weak structure
- Door Slab Flatness: Whole slab flatness deviation ≤1mm per meter; No bulging, sinking, wave deformation
- Frame Assembly Structure: Door frame jamb and head jamb firmly connected; Right angle verticality qualified, no frame distortion
- Warpage Resistance: Finished door no visible warpage; Static placement no bending deformation, comply with WDMA anti-warpage performance standard
4. Surface Finish & Coating Inspection
Meet US architectural woodwork appearance standards and environmental coating regulations, uniform and flawless surface, durable protection
- Color & Grain Consistency: Uniform surface color, no obvious color difference between door slab, frame and edge; Natural wood grain smooth and consistent, no grain distortion
- Coating Quality: Polyurethane/lacquer finish uniform and flat; No flow mark, bubble, pinhole, scratch, sand mark, dust particle defect
- Sheen Compliance: Matte / Semi-gloss / Gloss finish strictly matches customer specification; Uniform whole-door sheen, no local gloss difference
- Sanding Effect: Surface and edges finely sanded, smooth and burr-free; No rough hands-on feeling, no residual sanding trace
- Coating Adhesion: Paint film firmly attached, no peeling, chipping, cracking; Pass standard adhesion test, resistant to daily friction and collision
- Environmental Compliance: Coating materials meet US VOC emission standards; No peculiar pungent odor, compliant for indoor architectural use
5. Hardware Installation & Function Inspection (ANSI/BHMA A156.1)
All hardware and installation processes comply with US BHMA industry standards, flexible operation and stable performance
- Hardware Specification: Hinges, door locks, door closers, weatherstripping match specified brand, model and finish; No wrong model or mismatched color
- Hinge Installation: Hinge position accurate, vertical and horizontal level; Screws fully tightened, no sliding thread or loose; Door opening/closing smooth, no jitter or noise
- Lock Function: Lock body and lock cylinder installed in place; Flexible locking/unlocking, no jamming or failure; Key insertion and extraction smooth
- Door Operation: 0–90° opening/closing flexible and smooth; No abnormal friction, impact noise or sagging phenomenon
- Sealing Performance: Weatherstripping tightly fitted with door slab and frame; Complete sealing, no missing or degumming; Exterior door meets wind and rain resistance requirements
6. Fire Safety Inspection (NFPA 80 / UL 10C for Fire-Rated Doors)
Only applicable for US fire-rated wooden doors, fully compliant with US building fire protection codes
- Fire Rating Compliance: 20min/45min/60min/90min fire rating matches project requirements; Valid UL fire certification mark attached
- Fire-resistant Material: Internal fire-resistant core, fire-proof glue and fire-retardant veneer meet UL 10C test standards; No unqualified fire-resistant materials used
- Fire-resistant Structure: Door gap fire-resistant strip complete and intact; Frame fire-resistant filling standard, no missing fire-proof components
- Label Marking: Permanent fire-rated label pasted on door edge, clear and complete information, consistent with certification parameters
7. Defect Classification Standard
Unified judgment standard for US market acceptance, classify defective products scientifically
- Critical Defect (Reject Directly): Unqualified fire rating, wrong material species, excessive dimensional deviation affecting installation, structural looseness, paint peeling in large area, non-compliant safety performance
- Major Defect (Conditional Re-inspection/Repair): Obvious color difference, local slight scratch, individual loose screw, minor edge gap deviation
- Minor Defect (Acceptable after Simple Repair): Tiny dust spots, slight uneven local sheen, no impact on appearance and usage function
8. Packaging & Shipping Inspection (US Port Entry Standard)
- Surface Protection: Whole door covered with protective film, edge and corner wrapped with anti-collision foam; No exposure, effectively prevent transportation scratch and collision damage
- Packaging Firmness: Carton/wooden frame packaging firm, no loose package; Internal fixed firmly, no shaking and friction during transportation
