Classification of melamine decorative paper

Guide: In the process of decoration, people will choose different decorative paper. Today, Xiaobian will introduce a melamine decorative paper to you, hoping it will be helpful.

1、 Melamine decorative paper Melamine decorative paper is a kind of plain base paper or printing decorative paper impregnated with amino resin and dried to a certain extent, with a certain content of resin and volatile matter. It can be glued with each other or with the wood-based panel substrate after hot pressing. To produce melamine decorative paper, the following processes must be followed: glue making – glue preparation – first impregnation – first drying – second impregnation – second drying – cooling and cutting. Melamine decorative paper cups are widely used in the veneer of cabinets, wardrobes, and reinforced composite floors. 2、 Classification of Melamine Decorative Paper Melamine decorative paper is divided into three types according to the basis weight of the base paper: one is the thin paper with the basis weight of 23-30g/m2, which is mainly applicable to MDF and plywood substrate; The other is 60-80g/m2 titanium white paper (80g/m2 titanium white paper is required if the fabric coating is unsaturated polyester resin), which is mainly applicable to chipboard and other man-made boards; The third is 150-200g/m2 titanium white paper, which is mainly used for edge banding of plates. Thin paper has high fastness, poor coverage, easy to wrinkle and break, and high loss; Titanium white paper should be polished, with less loss and easy layering. Melamine decorative paper can be divided into two types according to whether there is coating on the paper surface: one is decorative paper with no paint on the surface; The other is pre painted decorative paper. When only the surface is coated with paint but the interior is not impregnated with resin, the base paper is thin paper. When the interior is impregnated with a small amount of resin, the base paper is titanium white paper. Melamine decorative paper can be divided into two types according to whether there is adhesive layer on the back: one is decorative paper without adhesive on the back, which is used for wet pasting; The other is decorative paper with hot melt adhesive layer on the back for dry facing. 3、 Identification of the quality of melamine decorative paper When purchasing melamine decorative paper, it is necessary to first observe the surface of the board. The melamine decorative paper with good quality has clear and uniform surface texture, no water marks, no black spots, uniform and bright color, transparent surface, and small surface color difference. Therefore, when selecting plates, attention should be paid to selecting melamine decorative paper with the same texture, and plates with small color difference should also be selected. In addition, it should be ensured that the bottom of the board is free of mildew, and the whole board is free of severe deformation and bending. The melamine facing on the board surface shall reach a certain thickness, and shall not be too thin. The facing shall not have cracks, wrinkles and other phenomena. Attention should also be paid to whether there is glue opening between the veneer surface and the base material of the board. The board with high bonding strength should be selected. The following methods can be used to test. Use a sharp flat blade to pry the board along the glue layer. If the glue layer is damaged but the base material is not, it indicates that the bonding strength of the board is poor.
