Qualità della faccia CLASS I (former class AB of UNI 6471)
Faces that may remain visible, ideal for any type of finishing (coatings, transparent varnishes, satin-finished etc)
May also contain a few pin knots or healthy and adhering knots without cracks. May also include very light discolorations and small, well-done putty or repair work that blends in with the rest of the surface.
Qualità della faccia CLASS II (former class B of UNI 6471)
“Natural” face with colour variations and healthy knots, suitable for coating with laminates, colour paints or varnishes
May contain healthy, adhering knots of diameter up to 35mm, small fallen knots or cracks, as long as good putty work has been done. May also include discoloration that is not very contrasting, some glue stains here and there, good repair and putty work.

“Open” face, putty work upon request, ideal for non visible uses
May contain healthy, adhering knots of diameter up to 50mm, small non adhering knots, cracks, bark, overlapping. May include natural discolorations, glue stains, repairs and any kind of putty work.

Plywood face designed for packaging and similar uses
May contain all the natural wood characteristics and the various processing defects, provided these do not compromise the functions of the plywood (e.g. the presence of fungus or iron parts is not allowed).

The gluing is consonant with the norm UNI EN 314 and it is determined only on the basis of its resistance to the humidity that defines the gluing class (norm UNI EN 636)

The Invernizzi plywood is produced in:

  1. CLASS 1: ureic gluing suitable to panels used in dry places and in interiors (UNI EN 636-1)
  2. CLASS 2: melamine gluing suitable to panels used in damp or in outside but sheltered places (UNI EN 636-1). All Invernizzi plywood panels are in formaldehyde emission class EI (Certificate CATAS);
  3. CARB PHASE 2: special gluing on demand consonant to the Californian norm demanding absolutly the lowest formaldehyde emissions.
