Quality defects of melamine facing wood based panels(Substrate such as Plywood,Blockboard,MDF ,Particle Board) ,quality assurance, inspection checklist ,factory auditing, sourcing service, testing

 Poor physical performance

The hot pressing temperature is low or the hot pressing time is short, the resin curing is incomplete, and the surface of the melamine paper is easy to stick dust during use, which is difficult to clean and forms a dirty surface.

The hot pressing temperature is too high, the hot pressing plates surface temperature is uneven or the density of the base material is uneven, which is easy to form cracks on the board surface (commonly known as cracking).

It means that the resin content is too low, resulting in low peeling strength of the substrate surface.

The unit pressure is too large, the density of the board surface is uneven, the structure is asymmetric, and the hot pressing temperature is too high, resulting in the warping of the melamine paper.

The water content of the board is too high, the base material is thin, and the density of the board is too low. When pressing, the core layer will generate a large steam pressure, which will make it bubble or delaminate.

 Uneven gloss of board surface

The dipping amount of impregnated paper is uneven, the moisture content of the board is too high, and bubbles appear locally on the board surface when pressing, resulting in uneven gloss of the board surface.

The hot pressing plates surface is polluted, the surface is dirty or the cushion pad is damaged, and the temperature of the base wood based panels(Substrate such as Plywood,Blockboard,MDF ,Particle Board) is uneven, which causes warpping.

The water content of the board is too high, the hot pressing temperature is low or the hot pressing time is short, which causes the board surface to have water traces and uneven luster.

Low hot pressing pressure or long storage time of impregnated paper, high resin pre solidification, poor resin fluidity during hot pressing, resulting in poor board gloss.

Dirt or fingerprints, paper scraps, etc. are found on the surface of the slab when assembling.
